R+T 2015 with its finger on the pulse of architecture

    24 February 2015 - 28 February 2015

The requirements relating to thermal insulation, sun protection, anti-dazzle protection, doors, windows and gates are increasing: these elements should not only be functional, but also visually attractive. Thorough planning of the design and details is therefore essential when formulating architectural concepts and plans. R+T, the leading world trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection, which will be held in Stuttgart from 24 to 28 February 2015, will feature a first-class programme for architects and planners in order to take account of this development. This programme will further promote communication between the R+T industries and provide an opportunity for a more in-depth exchange of knowledge with the construction industry and its professional associations.

In view of green current trends, R+T 2015 will provide answers to the latest questions concerning energy efficiency in buildings and will present prospects for sustainable development of architecture-related elements. The basis for this will be the accompanying programme containing numerous special shows, forums and congresses which will tackle these topics.

With approximately 1,500 participants, the event series “The Art of Planningachieved a result at its première in 2012 which far exceeded all expectations. In 2015 it will feature the International Façade CongressFaçades 2015” concurrently with R+T. Renowned architects, engineers and researchers will present developments, pioneering projects and experiments for the façades of today and tomorrow in the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart on 26 February 2015. The focal points will be new technologies and materials which extend the scope of how and what a façade can be today. The event will include, for example, keynote reports and talks by Volker Staab (Staab Architects), Matthias Schuler (Transsolar) and Manuelle Gautrand (Manuelle Gautrand Architecture).
