Design Onscreen è riuscita nell'avventura di portare gratuitamente e con ingresso libero nei giorni della vernice veneziana al Teatro Piccolo dell'Arsenale, 16 pellicole con ben 11 prime per l'Italia.
Al termine delle proiezioni poi incontri con i registi, architetti (Peter Eisenman, Lord Norman Foster, David Chipperfield, Vittorio Garrati, Steven Holl, Rick Joy) e produttori.
Due i film italiani: "Unfinished Italy" e "43 colonne per Bilbao".
La rassegna è inserita negli eventi ufficiali dell'inaugurazione della Biennale.
