{"id":35812823,"date":"2015-02-03T10:45:52","date_gmt":"2015-02-03T09:45:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.arketipomagazine.it\/?p=35812823"},"modified":"2015-02-11T17:47:25","modified_gmt":"2015-02-11T16:47:25","slug":"el-mercat-de-glories-barcellona-e35-arquitectos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arketipomagazine.it\/en\/el-mercat-de-glories-barcellona-e35-arquitectos\/","title":{"rendered":"El Mercat de Gl\u00f2ries, Barcelona &#8211; L35 Arquitectos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>El Mercat<\/strong>&#8221; has a surface area of 3,200 mq, and with an investment of 8 million euros, it is the culmination of the first stage of the comprehensive remodelling works in the Gl\u00f2ries shopping centre. <strong>L35 Arquitectos<\/strong> has been in charge of the project and work management in this unique building working alongside <strong>Saguez &amp; Partners and Colli Fulcar\u00e0 Arquitectes<\/strong> on the design. The architect in charge of the project, Carmen Trib\u00f3, says \u201c<em>We chose American red oak for the ceiling because it gives warmth to a space that is full of marble, glass and ceramic details, and it also absorbs the noise<\/em>\u201d.<\/p><div id=\"arket-177823900\" class=\"arket-contenuto arket-entity-placement\" style=\"margin-top: 20px;margin-bottom: 20px;\"><div id=\"sas_67408\" align=\"center\"><\/div>\r\n<script type=\"application\/javascript\">\r\n    sas.cmd.push(function() {\r\n        sas.render(\"67408\");  \/\/ Formato : Injection 1x1 1x1\r\n    });\r\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p>A very wide, suspended ceiling was designed, to enable the passage of air for global heating, air conditioning and ventilation in <strong>El Mercat<\/strong> &#8211; a wooden slat ceiling was the perfect answer to this requirement. Sturdy slats were chosen, measuring 30&#215;120 mm, with a 90 mm gap that leaves room for the lines of lights, which are placed alternately between the slats.<\/p>\n<p>20 local food shops and restaurants are situated in <strong>El Mercat<\/strong>, offering fresh produce and traditional food from gourmet shops to specialised takeaway food shops. With space for 750 people, there is a large variety of restaurants and places to taste different cuisines. \u2018<strong>El Mercat de Gl\u00f2ries<\/strong>\u2019, which expects <strong>2 million visitors a year<\/strong>, also has \u2018<strong>La Cuina<\/strong>\u2019, which is an area where gastronomic workshops are organised, as well as tasting sessions, master classes and live
