MAIN CONCEPT O COMMENTO DEL DESIGNER CHE ESPRIMA LA CARATTERISTICA INNOVATIVA DEL PRODOTTO:
La collezione Times è legata al concetto di tempo: il tempo giusto perché il prodotto è aggiornato, il tempo che passa perché il prodotto ha alcuni riferimenti a immagini tradizionali e archetipe.
Il concept nasce pensando all'attività quotidiana dei manager. Il compito fondamentale del manager è essenzialmente prendere decisioni. Per fare questo si deve circondare di molto spazio, ha bisogno di grandi tavoli da tenere vuoti per sgomberare la mente dalle distrazioni o da riempire col disordine ben organizzato di tutte le questioni in sospeso da risolvere. Deve sicuramente ascoltare pareri diversi e valutare con autorità, e deve quindi sedersi al tavolo su un asse ben preciso, definire una simmetria.
Times è un sistema basato su una serie di scrivanie disegnate tenendo conto della necessità di convivialità durante i meeting e della importanza che la scrivania ha nell'organizzazione dello spazio e nella definizione delle gerarchie.
Il tavolo più conviviale rimane quello domestico; intorno alla forma assolutamente semplice del tavolo quadrato sono possibili tutte le forme di gerarchia o di convivialità, e tutte le possibili alleanze trasversali.
Una piccola “deformazione” portata alla forma archetipa sottolinea la natura mista, tavolo da lavoro-tavolo riunione, della scrivania e la presenza di un asse che separa uno spazio privato da uno più pubblico: il tavolo semirotondo definisce chiaramente la posizione del manager, da un lato, e degli ospiti che spesso sono più di uno, dall'altra parte.
Il tavolo rettangolare invece è più tradizionale e la sua lunghezza conferisce alla scrivania una certa monumentalità.
Ogni manager può così scegliere la soluzione più adatta.
SINTETICHE CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE DEL PRODOTTO:
Le forme dei tavoli sono: quadrata, rettangolare, tonda e semitonda, per corrispondere ai più evoluti modelli d'impiego sia per il lavoro che per l'incontro e la riunione.
La soluzione strutturale è quella a trilite resa possibile dalla leggerezza e dalla elevata rigidità flessionale del piano costruito in tamburato di legno massello, placcato e controplaccato con impiallacciatura di legno e bordato con listello di legno. Lo spessore del piano è di 60 mm. Il giunto d'unione piano-gamba e le piastre di appoggio a terra sono realizzate per fusione di leghe di alluminio. Le gambe sono integralmente costruite in legno massello lastronato in essenza di frassino. A servizio dei tavoli sono previsti degli satelliti in MDF laccato dotati di ruote e manovrabili grazie alla caratteristica maniglia integrata al disegno del top.
La concezione free standing dei contenitori esalta l'alta figuratività di questi mobili. Ogni contenitore è pensato come oggetto finito e capace di mantenere la propria autonomia prospettica anche se utilizzato in composizione. Le ante presentano un originale disegno a valenza tridimensionale ottenuto con l'inserimento del pannello su telaio perimetrale in estruso di alluminio.

Absolute simplicity is underscored by use of high quality materials and by the perfect way in which the furniture is fashioned.
MAIN CONCEPT OR THE DESIGNER'S REMARK SHOWING THE INNOVATIVE FEATURE OF THE PRODUCT:
The Times collection is bound to the concept of time: the right time, because the product reflects the latest style, passing time, because it is also reminiscent of traditional and archetypal images.
The concept was inspired by the phases in a manager's daily life. Decision-making is a manager's basic task. To do this, he must be surrounded by lots of space. He needs large tables that must remain uncluttered so as to clear his mind, or to fill in orderly disorder with all the pending issues he must resolve. A manager must certainly listen to different opinions and evaluate with authority. This means that he must sit at a table positioned in a precise direction, thus defining a symmetry.
Times is a system based on a series of desks designed to suit the need for conviviality during meetings, that underscores the importance of the desk as a piece of furniture within the space of the office and that defines the hierarchy in an enterprise.
The most convivial table is the one at home. All sorts of hierarchy or conviviality, and every imaginable transversal alliance are possible around the absolutely simple shape of the square table.
A little “difference” made to the archetypal shape underscores the mixed work table-meeting table nature of the desk and the presence of a demarcation that separates a private space from a public one: the half-round table clearly defines the positions of the manager, on one side, and the guests, of which there are often more than one, on the other.
On the other hand, the rectangular table is more traditional and its length gives the desk a somewhat monumental air.
Every manager can choose the solution he prefers.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS BRIEFLY:
The table shapes are: square, rectangular, round and half-round to suit the most evolved purposes at work, as well as impromptu or formal meetings.
The structural shape is that of the trilith, achieved thanks to the lightness and the high flexural rigidity of the top, made of heartwood sandwich board, veneered on both sides with wood and edged with wooden strips. The top is 60 mm thick. The top-leg joints and bearing plates at floor level are made of cast aluminium alloy. The legs are completely made of beech-clad heartwood. The tables can be equipped with wheel-mounted satellite elements made of lacquered MDF, which can be moved by means of the handle built into the top.
The free-standing concept of the cabinets adds to the highly representative appearance of this furniture. Each cabinet is designed as a finished object able to maintain its perspective autonomy even when used in a composition. The doors feature an original three-dimensional effect obtained by fitting the panel in an outer frame made of extruded aluminium.
