PERCHÉ QUESTO PRODOTTO È UN “PEZZO DA MUSEO”:
La visione di profilo della costolatura richiama il “ferro” di prua delle gondole, con i denti che rappresentano i sestieri di Venezia, da cui anche il nome. Anatomica e leggera, la sedia è impilabile, particolarmente adatta per gli spazi pubblici, ma anche per utilizzi trasversali, come in ambiente domestico.
MAIN CONCEPT O COMMENTO DEL DESIGNER CHE ESPRIMA LA CARATTERISTICA INNOVATIVA DEL PRODOTTO:
Il profilo della sedia si caratterizza per la linea ondulata del sedile e per quello che ormai è un segno distintivo della progettazione di Favaretto, ovvero l'avanzamento dello schienale: il prolungamento delle gambe posteriori in avanti contiene la forma avvolgente di quest'ultimo, rendendolo funzionale anche come bracciolo.
SINTETICHE CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE DEL PRODOTTO:
Realizzata in polipropilene rinforzato con fibre di vetro, la seduta è un unico pezzo ottenuto per stampaggio a iniezione con air molding di seconda generazione. L'applicazione di questa tecnologia, non frequente per simili prodotti, consente, attraverso la soffiatura del gas nelle pareti mediante più punti di iniezione, di controllare lo scorrimento del materiale e mantenerne costante lo spessore, evitando tempi di raffreddamento differenti e il determinarsi di punti di rottura.
THAT'S WHY THIS PRODUCT IS A "MUSEUM PIECE":
The view of the ribbing from the side is reminiscent of the “ferro”, the metal decoration on the front of Venetian gondolas, whose teeth represent the six sestieri of Venice, from which the chair derives its name. Anatomical and lightweight, the chair is also stackable, and is particularly well suited for public spaces, and for transversal use, such as in the home.
MAIN CONCEPT OR THE DESIGNER'S REMARK SHOWING THE INNOVATIVE FEATURE OF THE PRODUCT:
The profile of the chair is distinguished by its wave design and by what has become the distinctive feature of Favaretto's design, the advanced position of the backrest: the extension of the back legs towards the front contains the wrap-around form of the latter, allowing it to serve as an armrest as well.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS BRIEFLY:
Made out of polypropylene reinforced with glass fibers, the chair is a single unit produced by injection molding with II generation air-molding. The application of this technology, which is unusual in similar products, relies on blowing gas into the walls through several injection points, to control the flow of the material and maintain a constant thickness, avoiding the differentiated cooling times that create breakage points.
